Our Mission

 About Us:

We are the co-founders, Meghan O'Neill and Diya Nandakumar, and we created the "Sincerely Gretchen" foundation in loving memory of our dear friend, Gretchen. Sincerely Gretchen is the name of our foundation because of the way Gretchen used to sign every card, letter, and email "Sincerely, Gretchen." It has always stood out to us as Diya used to joke about it with her- however, it couldn't be more fitting because Gretchen really was the most sincere person, who would never let anybody down. Our slogan, "Be Someone's GLoW" was made because Gretchen's initials were GLW, and Meghan and Gretchen always talked about how her initials were special and nearly spelled out "glow". The saying "Be someone's glow" indicates that every person (especially those going through hard times) needs loved ones supporting them and brightening up their lives. Gretchen was always that for Meghan and Diya. During the past few months, we knew that we needed to be that for Gretchen.

 

After Gretchen passed away, we wanted to do something in her memory and spread awareness for her rare type of cancer, because we know there is nothing she would have wanted more than to help other kids. Our goal is to spread awareness and raise money and support for this cause.
